Section is hold within the framework of the World Congress «SYSTEMS THEORY, ALGEBRAIC BIOLOGY, ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE: Mathematical Foundations and Applications» (June 26-30, 2023, Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow, Russia)

June 29, 2023 in Moscow the Institute of Legislation and Comparative Law under the Government of the Russian Federation will hold a Section «Law and Artificial Intelligence» within the framework of the World Congress organized by the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) together with foreign academies of sciences, national and abroad universities and institutions under the RAS Directive №10007-46 of 01.19.2023.

The purpose of the Congress is the development and diffusion of systems theory, ranging from the theory of functional systems, biomachine systems, ergatic systems to the theory of categorical systems and mathematical theories of systems, algebraic biology, artificial intelligence, with an emphasis on the mathematical foundations and sections of fundamental mathematics presented at the Congress, and their philosophical reflection with practical application in various fields, including the agro-industrial sector.

Within the framework of the Section "Law and Artificial Intelligence" a wide range of questions is planned to be discussed related to the convergence of law and artificial intelligence (AI). Rapid development of AI technologies and their intensively expanding application in different social domains have affected dramatically the essence of public relations regulated by law, formed new objects to legal regulation, set a new vector for scientific research in legal studies. Scientific comprehension of fundamental and applied problems related to the interaction of law and artificial intelligence cannot be considered complete. Controversy continues in the legal doctrine regarding the development of optimal forms and methods of regulation, formation of an adequate conceptual apparatus, definition of the legal nature of artificial intelligence, of it’s place in the legal system. The issue of identifying the limits to application of artificial intelligence technologies in various spheres of social life remains unresolved. As well as the ways to overcome threats and risks generated by such use, by practical application of artificial intelligence technologies in law enforcement.

 The section "Law and artificial intelligence" will be held in mixed format on June 29, 2023 from 10:00 to 18:30.

• Plenary and section reports: 14:40-18:00.
• Discussion: 18:00-18:30.

As a result of the World Congress "Systems Theory, Algebraic Biology, Artificial Intelligence: Mathematical Foundations and Applications" a collection of reports is planned to be published. The deadline for submitting abstracts is June 1, 2023. Volume of abstracts is 1 page A4 (plus 1 page translation into English) sent as a text file in .pdf format and the same file in one of the formats .doc, .docx, .odp (Open Office format). For foreign speakers (who do not know Russian) it is enough to send the text of the abstracts only in English. Abstracts are sent using the form on the site https://congrsysalgbai.ru/ru/.
